10 Tips On How To Really Maximize Your Google Adsense Ads Revenue

Thursday, March 22, 2007

Ok, so here is the real deal when it comes to google adsense. I know alot of you probably wonder how and why some people make only dimes with adsense, while others are making, literally, fortunes. Prepare yourself... I'm gonna turn you into an adsense king. Your life will never be the same again, provided you follow the following rules and tips:

1- Make sure your website has good fresh CONTENT. This specially applies before you submit your site to google to apply for adsense. I can't stress that enough. You probably have heard that famous phrase "content rules". Well, IT IS TRUE! You also have to keep your content updated regularly. If you don't feel like writing, you can always get content from article directories like www.isnare.com or www.goarticles.com.

There are hundreds of sites that offer "free website content". Just put that term in google and grab the content you want, from the unlimited results. Another option that might be considered sneaky, is to use one of those "content generators" or "content rotators". That way, you rest assured that you have a fresh website that search engines and google love!

2- Your content must be related to keywords you are targeting. Might also be a good idea, though a bit tough without a software, to target high paying keywords/clicks. Some keywors pay well over $70 per click! You just have to make sure that your content is related to them. I use a very handy software that does all the working for me, called KeywordElite (check in my blog in resource box below).

3- Ok, no buts or ifs about this one... the best performing adsense unit type, is the LARGE RECTANGLE. This has been tested and reported over and over by so many people.

4- This is a bonus tip to complement no.3.... place your large rectangle units "above the fold" if possible. The term "above the fold" refers to the section of the webpage that is visible without scrolling down. This should at least double your adsense income when used in your niche sites, or any site for that case.

5- Use dark colours (preferably black) for the texts in the ads and for the urls. Use blue for links. These are the best to go with. Everyone knows and agrees that blue means a link that is clickable. Do NOT use boarders.

6- Make the background colour of the ads, the same as your page.

7- Let's say you did no.6,7 and 8.... do you think the ads will merge into the content? I'm sorry to tell you: NO WAY! Unless the surfer is from outta space or is in his first month of using the net, there is NO WAY he/she would believe that google adsense is something else! Remove this propagated belief/idea from your mind!

8- If you are running a blog, the best way to use adsense is to implement it in the post, via direct html editing of the template. That way each post will have targeted ads displayed, depends on your selection, either at the top of the post as horizontal unit containing two ads, a big square that takes lots of space from the post or maybe a footer for your posts.

You will instantly notice a sudden increase in the CTR once you change your blog's ads this way. Just give it 4-7 days and check back.

9- If you don't have traffic, there is no use in all of this adsense business. Listen carefully: Even with modest efforts, you should be getting an average of 6 to 15% CTR (per ad impression, not pages).

The real successful people get CTRs that are often well above 30%. Again I suggest you use a software like KeywordElite (check my blog in resource box), to make things much easier. If you get the high targeted keywords that have low competition plus the high paying adsense keywords ready for you, you might find yourself in adsense paradise.

10- Build lots of niche sites with content. There is no other way to taste the true sweetness of adsense except that. A new report (check resource box) shows how one man, made well over $9,127 in ONE month, just from adsense, by building several niche sites. He had no success in the past, before that whatsoever! And he wasn't doing it last year or last month or week...he is doing it RIGHT NOW while you are reading these words!

If you follow the above tips, you will finally enjoy the "real" adsense, successful people and gurus are talking about.
